Pitch Coaching · Founders & Project Owners

One shot to get in the room.
Let's make it count.

You've built something real. Now you need to explain it in 3 minutes to someone who doesn't know your world — and make them believe in it as much as you do. That's a skill. I teach it.

Most founders pitch what they built. The ones who get funded pitch why it matters.

There's a structure to a great pitch — the one investors expect, the one juries respond to. But structure alone doesn't win rooms. What wins rooms is a story told with conviction, a demo that shows instead of tells, a founder who owns the space from the first sentence.

You are the expert on your idea — I won't tell you what to build or how to estimate your market. What I will do is help you find the clearest, most compelling way to communicate what you already know: what problem you're solving, why your solution is different, and why you are the right person to build it.

Three formats.
One for wherever you are.

Flash Feedback

One session. One video. Real feedback.

Record your pitch or presentation. We jump on a 90-minute call. I watch it with you and give you direct, structured feedback — what's working, what's killing the energy, what to cut, what to amplify. You leave with a clear action list and a framework to rebuild your pitch from.

Best for: First-time pitchers who need an outside eye. Founders preparing for a competition or program application. Anyone who wants honest feedback before the real thing.

Intensive Coaching

High-stakes pitch.
Deep preparation.

A focused coaching engagement built around your specific pitch moment — entering an incubator, facing a VC panel, competing in a pitching contest. We work on structure, story, delivery, and rehearsal until you're ready, not just prepared.

Best for: CEOs and founding teams with a specific, upcoming, high-stakes pitch. Incubator applications. VC rounds. Competition finals.

Typically 3–5 sessions · Bespoke scope · In-person or online

Ongoing Advisory

For founders who keep pitching.

As your company evolves, your pitch evolves with it. A new round, a new market, a new product — each requires a rebuilt story. I work with some founders as a recurring advisor: available when you have a pitch coming, not just for one moment.

Best for: Active founders who pitch regularly and want a trusted thinking partner on communication.

Three layers.
All connected.

Structure

The architecture investors expect

Before working on how to say it, we make sure we're saying the right thing. The pitch architecture that VCs and juries recognize — problem, solution, proof, ask — built around your idea, not a generic template. Clear enough to survive interruption, tight enough to land in 3 minutes.

I draw on tools like the Value Proposition Canvas and Business Model Canvas — not as deliverables, but as thinking aids to find the sentence that makes your pitch click.

Story

The narrative that moves people

Numbers don't move people. Stories do. We work on turning your business narrative into something humans can connect to — the moment the idea was born, the person whose life changes because of what you built, the future you're betting on.

Business storytelling, not theatre. Compelling because it's true, not because it's polished.

Delivery

The presence that makes it land

How you show up in the room matters as much as what you say. We work on presence, pace, and — when it's relevant — props. How you hold your product. How you run a live demo. How you recreate a situation so the audience feels what your solution does before they fully understand it.

Real techniques. Immediate application.

From one location
to fifteen — and counting.

Damien Gauthier coaching a founder

La Petite Épicerie builds unmanned grocery stores in villages across the canton of Vaud — local products, local producers, no staff needed. The kind of idea that needs one sentence to land and three minutes to convince.

I met the founding team when I was serving as a juror at a Genilem "Coup de Pouce" session. I believed in what they were building and offered them a coaching session to prepare for the Genilem entrance pitch.

We worked on the structure of their story: starting with the problem — the slow death of village commerce, the 20-minute drive to the nearest supermarket — before revealing the solution. We worked on how they talked about their product: not as a technology, but as a lifeline for communities.

They got in. They grew from one location to three, then to fifteen — and counting. I became an advisor to the company. Then an investor.

That's what a well-told pitch can start.

More than pitch coaching.
A business thinking partner.

The coaching I bring is grounded in more than public speaking. I have a background in innovation strategy, design thinking, lean startup methodologies, and Value Proposition design — and I've worked with organizations where the quality of the idea mattered as much as the quality of the pitch.

That background means I can help you clarify what makes your idea different, who it's really for, and what makes it defensible — before we work on how to say it. Not to tell you what to build, but to help you find the language that makes what you've already built impossible to misunderstand.

PMI Codesign-it Human Centricity LYCRA

I coach the pitch: the story, the structure, the delivery, the room. I work on making your idea land with the people who matter.

You are the expert on your solution. I won't tell you what numbers to put on slide 7 or how to estimate your TAM. What I will do is help you find the clearest, most compelling way to communicate what you already know — so that when you stand up to present, the idea is impossible to misunderstand and impossible to forget.

If you need a deck designer or a financial model advisor, I'm happy to point you toward people I trust.

Everything you need to know.
